The  Municipality  of  Central  Tzoumekra  is  a  neighboring  Municipality  to  the  Municipality  of  Georgios Karaiskakis. 
It  has  a  population  of  5,498  inhabitants  and  is  characterized  by  similar  geographical  and  demographic characteristics to the Municipality of Georgios Karaiskakis. 
The administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Central Tzoumerka extend to 509,2 km2 km2 with a large  part  of  it  covered  by  the  National  park  of  Tzoumerka,  Acheloos  Valley,  Agrafa  and  Meteora,  Ori Athamanon (GR2110002 Natura 2000), Evιteri Periochi Athamanikon Oreon (GR2130013 Natura 2000).  
The municipality has a certified Quality Management System that is in conformance with the requirements of the International Standard  EN ISO 9001:2015 (QMSCERT - Certificate No: 160620-3)  in the field of the Management of Co-financed Projects (Public Infrastructure Projects, Public Procurement / Service Projects, Public Projects Implemented by Own Means).  
As  a  lead  partner  the  Municipality  of  Central  Tzoumerka  has  implemented  the  project  MUSIC  BOX (Programme 2007 - 2013 Greece - Italy).  
At the same time, the Municipality has implemented a number of co-financed projects within the framework of NSRF as well as other funding programs (Antonis Tritsis, Filodimos etc.).
